Brett Thebault

Brett is Brisbane based entrepreneur and half of the founding duo behind Aginic and Aginic Ventures along with 4 other Queensland based startups. Having studied Computation & Maths at Oxford he started his career in London in data analytics and machine learning. He then moved to Brisbane to setup the Queensland Ernst & Young analytics team.  

Seeing the market opportunity in data, he and a former EY colleague set up Aginic in 2014. This business grew significantly over the proceeding 8 years with offices set up across Australia. Mantel Group acquired Aginic in 2022.  

Besides running Aginic, Brett and the team had set up Aginic Ventures, a Ventures studio supporting startup founders in Queensland. They focus largely on B2B SaaS and often in the Health and Wellbeing space. As of 2023 the team had successfully launched 10 startups, had 5 in incubation and 1 successful exit. Brett’s interest lies in how technology can be used to solve real world problems and supporting innovation and ideation to help companies bring novel and exciting solutions to market.
